Tlos, Saklikent and Gizlikent Tour from Fethiye

Tlos, Saklikent and Gizlikent Tour from Fethiye: Overview, Price, Times & Details
The Tlos, Saklikent and Gizlikent Tour is a full-day guided group trip inland, combining the Lycian ruins of Tlos, lunch at Gizlikent Waterfall and an afternoon at Saklikent Gorge. Swimming is not part of the day, so it works well for families and for anyone who would like a break from the beach and the boats.
Where Does the Saklikent Tour Depart From?
We collect you from your hotel between 08:30 and 09:00, depending on where you are staying, and leave Fethiye at 09:15.
Transport is by minibus or midibus, chosen according to the size of the group. You are back at your accommodation between 17:30 and 18:00.
Main Stops on the Saklikent Route
- Tlos Ancient City: One of the oldest cities of ancient Lycia, set on a hillside above the Xanthos Valley. Rock-cut tombs line the cliff face below the acropolis, and the site also has a theatre and the remains of Roman baths. Expect some uphill walking on uneven paths.
- Gizlikent Waterfall: The lunch stop. After you have eaten, you can head down the steps and wade through shallow, cold water to the waterfall, or stay at the restaurant if you prefer.
- Saklikent Gorge: An 18 km canyon carved through the mountains, with sheer rock walls on either side. A wooden walkway along the cliff leads to its entrance, where you can cross the river and continue a short way inside. Local Tip: The water stays cold even in midsummer, so water shoes make wading far easier.
